The Eyes of Texas
The Texas Union, designed by Paul Phillipe Cret and Robert Leon White, opened its doors in 1933 in celebration of the University’s 50 year anniversary. It was and remains a focal point for UT students and faculty.
The Union has nine remaining extremely unique and distinctive architectural interior spaces, each presenting different challenges for fire sprinkler integration. Volz & Associates is the historic preservation consultant to a team led by O’Connell Robertson Architects and Engineers for this project.
