Commissioners accepted architectural plans by Oscar Ruffini for the first and only courthouse for Sutton County in 1891.  Mr. Ruffini, of San Angelo, Texas, and contractor,  J. D. Gafford, completed construction of the courthouse that same year.

Sutton County Courthouse
